How to locate polling centre address online for BMC elections 2017

Want to know the address of your polling booth at the BMC elections? The MCGM elections of 2017 is scheduled for 21st February. Generally, an official goes door-to-door and issues a voting slip which mentions your name and age along with your photo as well as the place where the polling booth is located. In case you do not receive such a slip, you can find out online where exactly you need to go and cast your vote.

You can also know which Ward you are in: Areawise Mumbai wards for BMC polls 2017

Here's what you can do to find your Voting Centre:
1. Visit the official website of BMC: http://www.mcgm.gov.in/
Note: the site is in Marathi. You can select 'English' in the top right-hand corner if you so wish.

2. In the left side pane, you will see 'Election Department'. When you click on that, you will see this page: http://www.mcgm.gov.in/irj/portal/anonymous/qlaceledocs

3. Now click on the first in the list there, namely 'Prabhagwise polling booth list for MCGM G-Election 2017'.

4. Now you will see the list of Administrative wards. Click on the ward where you are a resident. It will show the pdf doc of the numbered booths (what is called 'Matdan Kendra' or 'Voting Centre') and the addresses of each.

Don't forget to cast your vote!
