Online applications open for 2021 CIDCO Housing Scheme for COVID Warriors and Uniformed Personnel

The City and Industrial Development Corporation of Maharashtra Ltd. (CIDCO) has announced a special housing scheme of 4,488 Tenements exclusively for COVID Warriors and Uniformed Personnel who are working in, and are Domicile of, the State of Maharastra. The homes are located in Navi Mumbai, at Taloja, Kalamboli, Kharghar, Ghansoli, and Dronagiri.

The lottery scheme has been launched today, on 15th August 2021 at 12 noon, and the application process will close on 8th September 2021.

Locations of the Homes

There are a total of 4488 Tenements, out of which 1088 are for EWS and 3400 for the General category. The Tenements that are available through the special Housing Scheme are in the following nodes-

1. In Taloja

• At Sector 21, Plot 8: 94 for EWS applicants, and 285 for General category.
• At Sector 22, Plot 1: 93 for EWS applicants, and 186 for General category. 
• At Sector 27, Plot 1: 184 for EWS applicants, and 481 for General category.
• At Sector 37, Plot 1: 88 for EWS applicants, and 272 for General category.
• At Sector 34, Plot 1: 90 for EWS applicants, and 370 for General category.
• At Sector 34, Plot 6: 126 for EWS applicants, and 574 for General category.
• At Sector 36, Plot 1: 96 for EWS applicants, and 377 for General category.
• At Sector 34, Plot 2: 74 for EWS applicants, and 377 for General category.

2. In Kalamboli

At Sector 15, Plot 9: 11 for EWS applicants, and 9 for General category.

3. In Kharghar

At Sector 40, Plot 1: 35 for EWS applicants, and 39 for General category.

4. In Ghansoli

• At Sector 10, Plot 1: 1 for EWS applicants.
• At Sector 10, Plot 2: 3 for EWS applicants, and 1 for General category.

5. In Dronagiri

• At Sector 11, Plot 1: 55 for EWS applicants, and 130 for General category.
• At Sector 12, Plot 63: 61 for EWS applicants, and 147 for General category.
• At Sector 12, Plot 68: 77 for EWS applicants, and 152 for General category.

Tenement Price

• Price of EWS Tenements range from Rs.18.87 lakhs to Rs.21.56 lakhs, depending on the location. 
• Price of General Tenements rage from Rs.27.57 lakhs to Rs. 31.44 lakhs, depending on the location. 

The EMD is Rs. 2 lakhs for EWS Tenements and Rs. 2.5 lakhs for General Tenements.

Payment schedule

Payment can be made in six installments over the duration of 6 months for ready-possession houses (full one-time payment option is also available), and as per RERA schedule for the houses in Sector 34 and Sector 36 in Taloja, which will be tentatively ready in 2023.

Eligibility criteria

1. Applicants must have completed 18 years of age as of the date of application

2. Income Group- 

• Economically Weaker Section (EWS): those whose annual income is up to Rs.3 lakhs.
• General category: Those whose annual income is more than Rs. 3 lakhs.

3. Only COVID warriors and uniformed personnel who are working in Maharashtra and have a valid Domicile certificate are eligible to apply. These include-

4. Different categories of Government employees in various Departments performing their duties relating to survey, tracing, tracking, prevention, testing, treatment, and relief activities.

5. Healthcare staff and other staff, including District Administration staff, Police, Home Guards, Anganwadi workers, Finance and Treasury, Food and Civil Supply, Wate supply and sanitation, Employees of various department deputed for a house to house survey work, etc.

6. All contractual/outsourced/daily wages/ad-hoc/honorarium-based staff who were deployed for COVID-related duties.

7. Personnel of Uniformed services including the country's Armed Services, Paramilitary Forces, Police, Firefighters, etc.

8. Spouse and Legal Heir of a deceased COVID Warrior can also apply.

Documents required to be submitted

• Certificate from the Competent Authority that clearly mentions the duty during the COVID period or of being Uniformed Personnel. The proforma of the certificate is available in the information booklet of the CIDCO website. Uniformed personnel can submit their Service Certificate.
• Document supporting age validity.
• Caste certificate and Caste validity certificate (if applicable).
• Domicile Certificate - must be at least 15 years in the State of Maharashtra.
• Income proof duly attested by the applicant's employer/Tahsildar.
• Affidavit regarding not owning a house anywhere in Navi Mumbai.
• Certificate of being handicapped (if applicable).
• Photo ID proof - Pancard, Aadhar Card
• Photo
• A Cancelled Cheque

Additional notes

1. The eligibility criteria and conditions of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana will be applied to EWS category applications.

2. In case there are a large number of applications for this Housing Scheme, then the applicants who are unsuccessful and are fulfilling the eligibility criteria will be offered the option to participate in the Draw of CIDCO's upcoming Housing Scheme subject to the terms and conditions of that scheme and as per the prices of that particular scheme.
